IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Banks are great places to leave valuables, like jewelry, birth certificates, cash — and pot.

[A Pizza Pit employee] was accused of depositing a marijuana stash in a Pizza Pit deposit bag and slipping the bundle into a night deposit box at American Bank and Trust last fall.

According to a criminal complaint, [the] delivery driver for Pizza Pit admitted the marijuana was his and that he had inadvertently deposit it.

A stoner worked for a pizza place? That’s gotta be bad for business. That’s like hiring a pyromaniac to work for the National Fire Safety Council or hiring Chewbacca to work for a dog groomer or hiring Kenneth Lay to work for anyone.

Unfortunately, the DA’s office won’t be able to file charges because the bank teller returned the pizza boy’s stash the next day leaving them without any evidence, that is as long there wasn’t a SpongeBob SquarePants marathon on that night.
