Why do so many dumb criminals forget to plan the getaway car when they put together the outline for their caper? At least this guy is doing his part to make this world a greener place by picking a fuel efficient vehicle.
Police caught a burglar who tried to steal a 52-inch TV by pedaling away from the scene, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
He stole the TV and tried to flee the scene with it on his bicycle. The only way this could be dumber is if he tried to watch a DVD while he was fleeing the scene with it.
A neighborhood watch spotted the strange sight of a man riding down their block with the TV stuck behind the handlebars and took a picture of it. Shoot, if only he bought a bigger TV, he could have hidden behind it.

I tried this once, only the TV was acquired legally, maybe even a little smaller but it was a CRT. I collapsed on the sidewalk half a block away, exhausted.
