Asleep at the Wheel

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said 876 times: if you’re going to commit a burglary, make sure you get a good night’s sleep.
One burglar learned this lesson the hard way after he broke into a car and fell asleep when police found him still clutching the stolen goods in his sleepy little hands, according to the Orange County Register.
Police said they actually found the car with the car stereo sitting in his lap because taking the stereo out of an Acura is probably equivalent to three 30 minutes workouts.
Police arrested the man and started reading him his rights and had to read them again because he slept through the first reading of them. This would be a great time for a Sleep Number bed…
The police chief called him “one of the dumbest crooks we may have ever run into.” I guess our work is done here.
