There’s something to be said for a father who takes time out of his busy day to spend it with his son. In this case, the things that can be said are “reckless,” “dangerous,” “stupid” and, of course, “dumb.”
According to the Associated Press, a man in Michigan was arrested after a traffic stop after police learned he was too drunk to drive, so he let his 13-year-old boy take the wheel…who was also drunk.
In his defense, he thought it was Take Your Daughter to Work Day.
Police found the car stuck in the mud with the boy behind the wheel. Neither of them were injured, but the boy was late for baseball practice.
The father has been charged with child endangerment, allowing a person to drive while intoxicated and allowing an unlicensed minor to drive. The kid has been charged with a DWI. Both will make the annual father/son picnic a very awkward event.

Reminds me of Family Guy, when Brian lets Stewie drive because he’s too drunk. of course Stewie is drunk as well, and crashes right into the bar after they leave.

I have seen and heard of some stupid things in my time, but this comes pretty close to topping all. But I will not hold my breath as I am sure some idiotic genius will try to something even more spectacularly stupid.
And yes “idiotic genius” is an oxymoron.
