If This Van’s a Smokin’, Somebody’s Tokin’

You would think the police officer exams that are administered by departments would come with a common sense exam, but who the hell are we going to get to write it up? Heh, that was almost poetry.
Three cops were caught smoking pot in a police van, according to KGMB9.com.
The plot, along with the suspects’ heads, thicken. They were smoking pot in the parking lot of a softball field where cops were holding a softball tournament. That’s funny because using pot in a softball game is actually a performance enhancing substance.
The stoned cops tried to make a break for the exit but the other cops caught up to them. Then the umpire called them out.

Seriously Len, don’t laugh because you’re absolutely right! the list of benefits of legalization is long, while the negatives of it will certainly work out to be no more than alcohol and most likely less (for example pot is not physically addictive). The first and most important thing in legalization is that more than 15 million people will no longer be “criminals” subject to arrest. With over 800,000 possession arrests again last year like in 2007 & 2006, this factor is paramount. Then there are the revenue benefits from taxes and fees in regulating sales. There are creations of jobs. Removal of a large source of money for various criminal organizations including terror organizations and gangs. Freeing up federal, state and local law enforcement to concentrate on important crimes, freeing up court and municipal resources at all levels, lowering the cost of drug testing for businesses, giving citizens the choice of an alternative to alcohol which can kill, while no one has ever died from an overdose of pot and it is generally less debilitating to the senses. Imagine the help revenue from this could do for funding health care reform. People really need to start talking about this more in mainstream media outlets. Now is the time.

Maybe (and this is a big stretch here) they were undercover cops creating street cred for purchases and busts… OK, I cant hold the laughter in anymore.

I’m sure their superiors came up with an excuse for them. Face it, we live in a “POLICE STATE” this is not a free country!!!
Fishfood critic aka Fishbowl. says: October 6th, 2009 at 11:18 pm
@Fishfood: I do hope you know that people die due to marijuana. such as that mother who killed the six children in her vehicle, as well as killing everyone but a little girl in the on-coming vehicle. The reason for an on-coming vehicle is because she was high on pot, and decided upon driving in the other lane. at a high speed.

critic aka Fishbowl , You are a fuckin IDIOT she was DRUNK you stupid fuck, if you don’t know what you are talking about SHUT THE FUCK UP and crawl back to your hole in the ground. She had pot in her system which does not mean she was high! It can stay in your system for 30-45days without impairing you in slightest. Get some Facts before you spout off at the mouth. Oh! Go drink your scotch you Bastard.
ArdentSun says: November 4th, 2009 at 12:16 pm
Greatm let’s leagize and encourage pot. Let’s watch our country grow lazy and inept because they’d rather smoke pot than work or accomplish something. Motivation? Amibition? Who needs that, I’d rather be useless! Pass the joint, dude.
Seriously. All you idiots calling for the legalization of marijuana ignore the reason it was made illegal in the first place (Oh wait, it must have been because of some conspiracy cotton place against hemp. Which you hippies love because it glosses over fact with myth and makes it easier to express your long winded and pointless arguements). Seriously. Even going through University, the students I knew to be stoners did worse and worse. Come to think of it, pretty much everyone I know who dropped out smoked pot. But I’m sure that’s just a coincidence, right? I’m sure the angry stoner who responds is an accomplished individual in society, right? Maybe even the *head* Janitor!
ArdentSun says: November 4th, 2009 at 12:18 pm
And be sure to point out my typos to look smart. It’ll take focus off my arguement and make life easier for you. Taking the easy route would be fitting with the stoner philosophy, no?

Cops are into lines and smoking fire. That’s where they came up with the line of fire bullshit
Hippie Gal says: January 27th, 2010 at 2:50 pm
Wow, unbelievable. Dan and Bob, you both espouse your intelligence and your college educations, yet neither of you know what a period is, where to put a comma, and whether to Capitalize your words where required. Your responses do nothing to enhance the low opinions of non-tokers or give them a clue as to your education or professionalism.
This is an old issue, one that has been around since George Washington smoked it in his corn-cob pipe (yes he did – look it up). The Hemp plant is very useful, moreso than flax where the creation of fabrics is concerned. It’s used still by our Navy to make those ropes that are several inches thick and hold our ships to docks. It can be used to manufacture a number of products, and it requires no special cultivation – as should be obvious to everyone since it is growing wild in most of the Americas and elsewhere in the world.
I seriously doubt that the entire country would become “Lazy” as Ardentsun speculates, and it could actually be legislated and taxed just like tobacco. There was a time when hemp was a legitimate crop, now you have to have a special license to grow it and we IMPORT it or it’s products to use in industry. It is a natural product that is reproducible with no side effects on our ecosystem like drilling holes for oil and coal. It is used medicinally for people with glaucoma, a dibilitating eye disease, and the medical field has recently learned that it is helpful for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
Far from being a useless “drug” this plant has many uses beyond getting high, so one has to wonder why and who decided to make such a big deal out of it. I grant that it makes some people lazy, but others it energizes into creative fervor. It’s effect varies with the user – and whatever else they have been ingesting along with it.
To condemn a plant regardless of it’s multitude of uses simply because someone said it was bad is just plain ignorance. Like guns that take the rap for ‘killing people’ the plant is no more responsible for what people do while using it then they are.
I smoke, and I have a professional job, own my home, am involved with my community, and have never been arrested for any crime. There are more folks out there like me than the sterotype dope heads Cheech and Chong created with their movies. I think there are more closet ‘tokers’ than there are closet homosexuals. Stigma and pubic perception based on inaccurate depictions of how the drug affects people have helped keep us that way.
Do some research folks, instead of popping off at the mouth with an empty shell casing for brains.

@Hippie – I have to say that I’m proud of you~! To be honest, I don’t approve of smoking, but then again, I know little of the subject. Nevertheless, you have explained your side of the story with facts, and in a calm, sophisticated manner. People like Dan and Bob simply lower my opinion of smokers since they cannot express themselves without vulgar language or with proper use of the English language. Admittedly, my English has it’s flaws as well, but at least I try to keep it clean and understandable. Thank you for being civilized~!!

Ok this is for all you stupid retards who think pot is good for or that it should be legalized. 1. Yes marijuana kills brain cells. 2. Yes you can be addicted to it. (if you say no you can’t then why do you still smoke it) 3. You are right nobody has ever over dosed on it, but people have been killed by people driving under the influence. Just like drinking it slows the persons reaction time. Oh Dan if you want to talk smack back your facts up. ArdentSun just spoke the truth! And we can all tell by your spelling that you smoke pot!

joeseph_seno-
1. no marijuana does not kill brain cells. the study was severely flawed. monkeys were injected with about 63 joints of high grade Columbian marijuana for about 8 minutes with special masks. 1. no one would smoke 63 joints in a day, 2 it was the lack of oxygen that made these monkeys lose brain cells.
2 you cant get addicted. you could get more addicted to patato chips than to marijuana. the number of people that go to treatment on their own accord is somewhere around 3 or ever 500 000 people. and i doubt those 3 people are actually addicted.
3 people who smoke shouldn’t operate cars. thats just common sense. any one who smokes and drives are idiots. but there have been tests done where smoking a spliff before driving actually have increased the drivers skill.

sounds like everybody needs to shut up and smoke one
Puffy says: April 2nd, 2010 at 12:30 am
I bet they did smoke weed they took from someone else. My friend got caught with a nickelbag they arrested him and then they said that they “destroyed the marijuana”. How can you destroy evidence in an ongoing case? Toke Toke Toke.
