Unfortunately, when the guide got drunk (very drunk) they had to make the man stop because the situation was getting too dangerous. The Blind man only got in the front because he knew that then he would be able to get the car off the road and take the keys as he walked home instaed of letting either drunkard go and crash into another vehicle. the judge said it was a noble gesture and understood what had happened. Its easy to mock until you know the facts. I read the orignal story and it was pretty straight forward.
