I agree, but death? I think that might be a little harsh. Yes maybe if the driver did kill someone drunk driving. But if knowone was hurt, put them into prison, suspend thier lisense. Than, they cant be out driving again.

Most DUI license loosers simply drive without one. Take their car, they borrow one. Maybe bring back hard labor to prison sentences might get their attention.

unfortunately losing a drivers license isn`t always enough–i know someone who was killed by a drunk who was driving while his license was suspended and he was awaiting trial for a previous dui charge–and he killed two young men that day–and he only got 19 months in jail!!!!! go figure.

Well, in this country driving drunk leads to the death penalty as well except the people dieing weren’t even the ones drinking and driving.

I wish the law for DWI was “One strike, you’re out”. If you’re caught driving drunk, you lose your license permanently.

That might show people how seriously deadly it is to drive drunk.
