Falter of the Bribe

I would say that if you’re going to do something like bribe a police officer during your arrest to have some common sense. But if you’re thinking of offering a bribe to an officer in the first place, something like common sense is probably the further thing from your mind.
A member of a drug dealing ring officer an arresting officer a “joint,” according to Stuff.co.nz.
Police arrested the man and he claimed he was being unfairly targeted when he said, “Who doesn’t grow dope around here?” In his defense, he did live next door to a Mr. Cheech on one side and a Mr. Chong on the other.
When police found marijuana growing in his house and a stash in his pockets, he invited them to have a joint with him. He later added, “Dave’s not here, man.” I couldn’t resist.
