WEST FARGO, N.D. - A North Dakota State University student is facing charges after allegedly trying to buy marijuana at the police station.

Saturday’s incident was “about the craziest thing I’ve ever come across,” Officer Ken Zeeb said. “This is something that you couldn’t even make up.”

She was so desperate for a toke of the reefer that he called the police dispatcher asking where he could score some. The operator insisted several times that buying, possessing or using marijuana is illegal and against the law, but he would hear none of it. He had a case of ding dongs that were about to go bad and he needed the munchies STAT.

So the dispatcher told him they had a dimebag in the evidence locker that she was more than happy to help himself to it. She hopped a ride down to the station, tossed a couple of bucks to the dispatcher and followed the sweet smell of reefer all the way into her jail cell. As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, she has not received the marijuana.
