No Parole Model
Who is the last person who should catch you with drugs? A police officer? Your drug rehabilitation sponsor? Your high friend who goes through more narcotics than the Hell’s Angels at Altamont? How about your parole officer?
According to the Digital Journal, that’s exactly what happened.
This happened in Alabama, the only state where public education is considered “optional.”
The man went to the courthouse to report to his probation officer and was asked to empty his pockets by a security guard. He pulled out of his pockets some gum, his keys and two bags of marijuana. Apparently he kept them in his pocket because he didn’t want them turning up in a urine test.
He tried to flee, but sheriff’s deputies caught up with him. One deputy said, “Every now and then you have somebody who forgets what he had in his pockets.” Come on, someone with marijuana forgetting something? You’re pulling my leg.
