While You Were Out of Your Mind

It’s always nice and courteous to leave a forwarding message if you’re going to be away and people need to contact you. Except if you left a forwarding address and number in case someone finds your drugs.
That’s just what happened to one man who lost his stash in a hardware store, according to KHQ.com.
The man left his bag o’ methamphetamines (from the makers of the “Barrel of Heroin!”) near the cash register, then came back to the store looking for them. The drugs were later found, but his brain has yet to be located.
The man left his name and number with the store in case his “items” were found. Police returned them to the man, then arrested him.

I think it gives “dumbest criminals” the benefit of doubt. I believe it is impossible to underestimate the intelligence of some idiots. Their IQ might equal their shoe size!
