The Balloon Drops

Sure the rest of the world already knows about this, but this fell under our radar here at DCHQ because other more pressing news. And considering that we usually deal with drunks committing felonies, you can probably imagine how far down the radar this story falls.
The Associated Press reports that the parents of the infamous “Balloon Boy” will face some kind of criminal charges.
Who knew that anyone could be charged with wasting the entire media viewing public’s time? Does this mean we’re also entitled to some kind of restitution, too?
The specific charges haven’t been named just yet since police haven’t officially named it as a hoax. But one police spokesman responded with, “(cough)faker(cough).”

Actually the police could not care less if the medias’ time was wasted. It is the police and FAA’s time which was wasted and WE should be compensated for the waste of OUR, the taxpayers’, resources.
