Guns are just an American right and a staple of the Constitution, but they’re also dangerous, deadly and harmful. Too bad nobody told these Americans.

PENSACOLA, Florida (Pensacola News Journal) — Two men wanted in connection to a botched attempt to shoot open a safe stolen from a Gulf Breeze car lot have been arrested.

Robert Salter Jr., 20, of Pensacola turned himself in to Escambia County sheriff’s deputies Thursday. Paul Dean, also 20 and from Pensacola, was picked up by Escambia deputies Thursday, as well.

Salter originally told investigators he was driving by OBO Auto Sales, 3222 Fordham Parkway in Gulf Breeze, on Jan. 6, when he saw lights inside. When he went into the office to check, a burglar shot him in the leg, he claimed.

“But how could he get shot in the leg if his partner was aiming at the safe?” you might be asking your computer, which is stupid because your computer can’t talk. Well, according to the story, Salter and Dean stole the safe together and when Dean tried to shoot the safe, the bullet ricocheted and hit Salter in the leg. Oucheroo. If only this guy had seen “The Italian Job,” he could have avoided all of this.

That’s not really dumb behavior. I mean, I’m sure they can’t figure out the concept of angles.

Both men were arrested and charged with theft and a $100,000 bond. The NRA also presented Dean with their Humanitarian of the Year award.
