Cop Out

Thursday, February 8th, 2007 • Filed under Other

Impersonating a cop is probably the lowest crime a human being can commit. The only way it can get lower is if you drive a Nissan with a weed pipe on the front seat and I forgot to include a joke here.

AURORA, Colo. (Rocky Mountain News) — Aurora police have arrested an 18-year-old man suspected of impersonating a police officer and are searching for victims.

Christopher Steven Harris was arrested in a south Aurora neighborhood Friday afternoon.

A witness called police after he saw Harris pull over a burgundy sedan behind a Kohl’s department store near South Tower Road and East Hampden Avenue on Friday.

Think it couldn’t get more pathetic? Think again. He actually had flashing police lights on the dashboard. He probably also had a Smurf bobblehead doll on the rear dash and the Starlight Vocal Band in the CD player.

The female driver got out of the car and the used cop took off. She also eventually led police to the direction he left, but she didn’t have to since the thing left a river of leaky antifreeze on his getaway trail.

Harris got cracked with a felony charge of (care to guess?) impersonating an officer. He said he plans to take acting lessons once he gets out.

YOu know, this story really explains how dumb people really are, not including the wannabe cop, but the driver he “pulled over.” why would you stop for a NISSAN, most likely you could outrun that car anyday!!

To the comment below. It depends upon the NISSAN that was being driven. Of course if it was a 350 Z, Skyline, 240 SX, Maxima, they would lose definately. But correct, why would you pull over for a NISSAN???? Their are no NISSAN undercovers, its actually illegal to use any other car than the Ford’s that they are given to drive. Although i did see once a undercover driving a Mitsubishi 3000 GT. Boy was that a trip and a half.

Actually where I live the police drive an assortment of vehicles (SUVs, pickups, sports cars, cars that look stolen), and even recently had a fortified golf court custom made for them so they could chase criminals down on walking trails. And this device is made by a Japanese company called Kubota. See it here.
