Here Comes the Bribe

What’s worse than getting pulled over for drunk driving and trying to bribe your way out of getting arrested? If you honestly can’t come up with the answer for that question, then you really haven’t been around here very long, have you?
According to the Associated Press, a Malaysian man tried to bribe an officer after he was pulled over for drunk driving, but when the officer administered the breath test, he passed.
I hope Alanis Morrisette is reading this because THIS is the definition of irony. Black fly in your chardonnay, my ass.
The screening test found he was under the legal blood alcohol limit, so he was only arrested on a charge of corruption. There’s no word on whether or not he also actually failed or passed the corruption screening test.
He reportedly tried to bribe the officer with 50 ringgit, which is equivalent to $15 dollars. He got a fine of 1,000 ringgit, equivalent to $300 dollars. He reportedly asked the judge if he “would take a bribe…er, check, I meant check!”
