Being an undercover cop must be a hard job. Your life is not only more on the line than a guy who juggles sharks, but you also have to be a brilliant actor and a street smart cop to get the bad guy. It’s too bad all the perps aren’t more like this genius in the making…
OCEANSIDE (North County Times)– A prostitute did just about everything to get arrested but put the handcuffs on herself Monday, when she tried to solicit two plainclothes Oceanside police officers in an unmarked car.
Neighborhood policing officers Dan Bessant and Taurino Valdovinos were patrolling the downtown area as part of a gang suppression detail about 11 p.m. Monday when a woman approached their car at Minnesota Street and Coast Highway, Lt. Lee Steitz said.
The woman announced she was a prostitute and showed them her wares by lifting up her shirt, he said.
Showed them her “wares”? Did she have a Home Depot under her tube top?
The story goes on to report the officers told her they would come back later because they were too busy and when they returned, she got in the car and failed to noticed the unmarked car had a bulletproof vest and other police equipment in the backseat. Apparently, prostitution doesn’t come with a great vision plan.
