It’s tax season again. So if you don’t file them on time or ask for an extension, this is the year you’re going to prison because the deadline was already last week.
One priest didn’t file his taxes, even though he drove expensive cars and wore extremely overpriced clothes, according to the Charlotte Observer.
The priest drove a Bentley and spent more than $42,000 on clothes, homes and cars. Vow of poverty, my ass.
Despite all this decadence, he has not filed a proper tax claim since 2001. Where is your God now? Laughing at your stupidity, probably.

Pretty stupid on the part of the priest not to file taxes.
However, you may wish to note that priests are not necessarily under a vow of poverty. Priests can own property and draw salaries, etc. The taking of a vow of poverty is normally associated with the priest’s membership in a specific, usually mendicant, order.
