According to ABC Action News in Tampa, Fla., a man who robbed a car wash in Clearwater got busted because he tried to apply for a job there the week before the robbery.
Well, shoot, there’s goes that reference.
He reportedly tried to break into the place by smashing a window. The whole time he had socks on his hands because in addition to robbing the car wash once he got inside, he also planned to hold an impromptu puppet show.
Then after the break-in, he dropped off an application and a few days later got busted trying to steal a few bucks from the tip jar. He instead blamed the tip jar theft on Socky, the puppet sock he happened to be wearing at the time.
