Paycheck Heck

Sunday, October 14th, 2007 • Filed under Robberies

You know about crimes where the accused writes a note on a piece of paper instructing someone to hand over all their money? In this case, we’re surprised the guy they arrested could even write one.

According to the Delaware News Journal, a suspect did just that except the note was written on the back of his pay stub.

An unidentified man walked into a convenience store, handed the clerk the note and complied with his request. Police obtained the note and found it was written on a pay stub. It should also be noted the note was written in crayon and all of his “E’s” were backwards.

Police also learned the suspect’s fingerprints were all over the check, which connected him to several other robberies in the area. The only way this could have been worse is if he had stapled a blood sample on a microscope slide and drew directions to his house.

“The only way this could have been worse is if he had stapled a blood sample on a microscope slide and drew directions to his house.”

I don’t see how that could possibly have made things worse. It might have made things better. It would have been easier to prove insanity.

If he’s writing his E’s backwards, I hope they sent him back to school…
