Robbery Streak

Take off that tank top, unbuckle your pants and put on your favorite Ray Stevens album because we’ve got a naked dumb criminal on our hands (not on our hands THAT way, sickos).
Burnaby (CBC) — Burnaby RCMP say a shameless bank robber resorted to an unusual — and ultimately unsuccessful — diversionary tactic as he tried to elude them on Wednesday.
The incident began at about 12:30 p.m., when a man entered a bank in the 1900-block of Willingdon Avenue and demanded money.
As he fled the scene on foot, police say the man shed his clothes before attempting to flag down a passing cab.
When the taxi driver refused to stop for the naked man, police say the suspect streaked on foot toward the Gilmore SkyTrain station.
Pursing officers tackled him before he reached the station.
A 27-year-old man of no fixed address was taken into custody. He was scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
This guy drops his drawers and heads for the hills. I’m sure justice is glad she’s blind.
The story really doesn’t go into a lot of detail as to why he disrobed and ran. Maybe he didn’t want police to recognize him in his wardrobe. Maybe he thought having less weight without clothes would allow him to run faster. Maybe he wanted to break Ted Kennedy’s record for doing the dumbest thing naked.
Either way, he’s waiting to go to trial and his attorney says that even though his client has a strong defense, prosecutors believe it won’t stand up in court. BAM! Hellloooo! Thanks folks, I’ll be here all week. Try the waitress and tip your veal.
