Writing the Book on Crime

I don’t know if it’s the context or the plot of this story, but for some reason, the more I read this, the more I keep hearing the “Murder, She Wrote” theme in my head. Damn you Angela Lansbury, you’ve invaded my thoughts for the last time.
According to the Associated Press, a former California gang member got arrested and sentenced to prison for his role in a jewelry heist after police learned about his involvement from his memoirs.
He wrote about his involvement in a crime that he thought he got away with in his book. Something tells me he’s really not a good proofreader.
He was accused of being the mastermind and the getaway driver in the jewel heist, mastermind being stretched in the loosest sense of the word.
Prosecutors even used the book he was interviewed in as evidence against him during the trial. It hasn’t been confirmed if prosecutors asked the defendant for an autograph.

This story sounds familiar…maybe it has something to do with OJ Simpson, except he was smart enough to write about his crime AFTER the trial. It’s sad how stupid people can be.

I agree. Some people are just braindead.
