A Real Shocker

Ever heard the saying if you play with fire, then you’re going to get burned? We didn’t think so.
A man caught trying to steal electricity was (wait for it) shocked, according to 4029tv.com.
And when we say shocked, we don’t mean “pleasantly surprised to learn that the coppers had caught on to his little plan.” We don’t even mean “alarmingly surprised.”
What’s worse is he was standing on a metal ladder at the time he touched the live wire, so he couldn’t even ground himself against the electricity. The only way it could have been worse is if he touched the live wire with his tongue. And believe me, we checked to make sure.

A comment on the original story: it says he was “electrocuted,” but then goes on to say that he was only in critical condition and raises the possibility of him being released from the hospital. Electrocution means death by electrical shock, so they need to get their story straight.
