Don’t you hate it when cell phones go off in inappropriate places? Movie theaters, restaurants, libraries, funerals, your own funeral. It’s downright rude and annoying. So here is the one and only time a cell phone should be allowed to ring in a public place.

HALIFAX Nova Scotia (The Hamilton Spectator)– Memo to crooks hiding from Halifax police: Turn off all cellphones.

Police nabbed two suspects in a would-be parking meter heist near Dalhousie University early yesterday.

Minutes after getting a report of two men trying to break into a parking meter, police began looking for suspects.

When officers began searching the neighbourhood for a second suspect, they were attracted to a nearby large garbage bin by the sound of a ringing cellphone.

Foiled by his own cell phone. Karma’s a bitch. How much you wanna bet this guy’s cell phone goes off every time he steps foot in a movie theater?

It should also be known that one of these two men they arrested was wearing a bathrobe at the time of the getaway. Talk about a clean getaway. Oh ha, ha, ha! Oh Dear God release me from my misery.

Both men face charges of property damage, attempted theft and roaming.

    i agree. but i assume he still got his one call at the cop station after he told police that they were the ones calling him…

    Turning your phone off is something you don’t really think of when you just committed a crime, in my opinion.

    Ummmmmm… If I don’t want someone to find me, I try to be as quiet as possible and I would want to make sure my cell doesn’t give me away. That would be one of the first things I would think of. I bet when he was a kid he was the one that always got caught first. Oh man stupid people suck!
