Come Out With Your Hands Up and Your Pants Down
I believe William Wallace said it best when before a major battle against the invading British army, he mounted his steed, rode before his downtrodden troops and yelled in a deep voice that came from the bottom of his soul, “They make take our lives but they’ll never take…our pants off!”
MOUNT AIRY, N.C. (WXII12.com) — Police said a Mount Airy man lost the flat-screen TV he was trying to steal because he lost his baggy pants. Now, police say he is about to lose his freedom as well.
Authorities said Randall Nathan Wall Jr. tried to walk out of a Wal-Mart with a 20-inch LCD flat-screen television without paying. Mount Airy police said when the man was confronted by store personnel, he told them his mother was behind him and she had the receipt.
So the store employees approached and Wall started to walk away, but that’s when shame and humiliation took the wheel.
His pants literally dropped to his ankles. He hit the floor and so did the TV. He was still able to flee the employees and the scene, but an employee followed him in his own car. I don’t know what’s more embarassing: having your pants fall down in a crowded store or having your pants fall down in a store and then having an employee track you down by following the scent of pure embarassment.
Wall was taken into custody. The store plans to re-raise the losses of the broken TV by using the security camera tape to win the $10,000 grand prize on “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”
