When you enter into public life, you have to sacrifice a lot of things in order to serve your community well. For instance, your time, your money, the attention you give to your family and your seedy love of used womens’ underwear.
Police in England arrested the mayor of a town on suspicions that he might be stealing ladies’ underwear for his personal use, according to the London Telegraph.
Police found some of the missing women’s undies in the mayor’s home, which he claimed came from a new government bailout program called “Dough for Drawers.”
Police arrested the mayor and he promptly resigned. Talk about having egg on your face! No, I’m not proud of that last joke either.
