A young man in his early 20’s came into the Kwik Shop in Millbrook,AL. Witnesses saw the man leaving with 4 Coca-Colas in his coat pockets. The clerk, Christina McKay, knew he would return since he was a regular customer. The next night, the man and 3 of his friends returned to get gas. The clerk called the police and stalled for time by hitting the emergency stop button on the gas pumps saying she didn’t know what had happened. Police arrived on the scene just as the thief was pulling off, but managed to stop him at the stop sign on the corner. The thief and his friends were all apprehended and charged not with stealing a few sodas, but with possesion of marajuana. They apparently had over 2 pounds of it their trunk.
