Which One is the Idiot Here?

The first idiot we have is an 80+ year old man growing 2 of his many marijuana plants within view of the road. The second idiots are the two guys who thought that they should steal them. After removing the plants they placed them in the back of their pick up then drove down the street to the gas station to get something to drink. Leaving the plants unattended in the back of the truck. A cop drove by, saw the plants and questioned the two men who claimed its not our fault. They were just right there! After returning to the first idiots house the police then found over 100 plants growing, but, because of his age and his inability to keep up the plants so that they looked wild, the police burned them and didnt arrest the man.
