What’s a dumb criminal’s worst enemy? A clear ski-mask? A mace can that’s turned the wrong way? Batman? Nope, it’s pride.
BENSALEM, Pa. (KYW 1060) — Bensalem (Bucks County) police have arrested more than two dozen people on charges they vandalized several properties — then bragged about it online.
Police say they found the the suspected vandals by befriending them on the web site MySpace.com. And they say the vandals — 27 of them in all, so far, with more arrests expected — not only bragged about their acts of vandalism but in some cases posted photographs of their graffiti online.
And that’s how police got to them. They looked online, befriended the suspects, determined who they were, and arrested them.
Damn you MySpace! First you take away jobs from web site builders by giving broken door garage bands a free place to clog up the Internet. Now you’re taking jobs away from police department’s petty theft investigators. I hope you can still sleep at night.
Why do people brag about their lives on Internet blogs? Do they really think people other than themselves, lonely voyuers and the CIA are reading this stuff?
I propose right now. We eliminate all blogs. Not only would it allow us to use the Internet to encourage human evolution and intelligence, but it would eliminate my competition.
